NextGenBioPest in ICE2024!

Updated: Nov 4, 2024

The XXVII International Congress of Entomology (ICE 2024) provided an exceptional platform for NextGenBioPest, represented by the Foundation for Research and Technology - Hellas (FORTH), the Biology Centre (BC CAS) and the University of Catania, to showcase their innovative strides in the biopesticide industry.

Held in the historic city of Kyoto, in August 2024, this prestigious conference is a cornerstone event in the field of entomology, drawing leading experts and researchers from around the world. The event offered a valuable opportunity for NextGenBioPest to present its cutting-edge solutions and engage with key figures in the industry.

FORTH gave an oral presentation titled "Next-generation molecular diagnostics for monitoring major agricultural pests, alien invasive species, and disease vectors", while the University of Catania made a presentation entitled "Current status of biological control of Tuta absoluta". The BC CAS presented their progress in developing environmentally friendly hormone receptor agonists, for selective control of target pest species but harmless to honey bees.

Our participation at ICE 2024 highlighted our commitment to advancing eco-friendly pest control technologies. The sessions and discussions were rich with insights, underscoring the collective effort to drive progress in sustainable agricultural practices.

We extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who attended our presentation and contributed to the engaging dialogues. Your participation and feedback are crucial as we continue to push the boundaries of biopesticide innovation and work towards a greener future.
