The NextGenBioPest project is guided by a distinguished External Scientific Advisory Committee (ESAC) comprised of leading experts in the field of crop protection and pesticide development:

Dr. Ralf Nauen

A highly experienced researcher with over 30 years at Bayer Crop Science, Dr. Nauen is a recognized authority on pesticides. His groundbreaking work has earned him numerous prestigious international awards.

Prof. Dimitrios Karpouzas

Serving as the coordinator of the Horizon Europe RATION project, Prof. Karpouzas specializes in developing and harmonizing regulatory frameworks for low-risk pesticides. His expertise is crucial to advancing sustainable agricultural practices.

Dr. Jane Debode

A senior researcher at ILVO with extensive experience in fungal control and alternative crop protection tools, Dr. Debode brings strong connections with policymakers, bridging the gap between science and policy for effective agricultural solutions.
