On 16 July 2025, NextGenBioPest proudly participated in the online webinar “Innovative Microbial Solutions for Plant Health: Development, Field Application, and Regulatory Integration,” organized by the BIOVEXO project.

The event brought together leading Horizon Europe initiatives, including BeXyl, Life Resilience, and NextGenBioPest, to explore the potential of microbial solutions in enhancing plant health. Key topics included best practices for field application, as well as challenges and opportunities within EU regulatory frameworks.

Representing NextGenBioPest, Smart Agro Hub presented the project’s vision for a new generation of biopesticides and microbial-based tools designed to reduce pesticide use while promoting sustainable crop protection in European fruit and vegetable production.

The webinar featured engaging panel discussions, audience Q&A sessions, and cross-project exchanges, highlighting the importance of collaboration in addressing complex plant health threats. NextGenBioPest thanks BIOVEXO and all participating projects for fostering innovation through shared knowledge and joint action.
