On June 19th, 2026, our partner Smart Agro Hub represented NextGenBioPest at Beyond Expo 2026 — Greece's most prominent and widely attended technology and innovation expo — bringing the project's vision for next-generation sustainable pest management to one of the country's most dynamic and forward-looking public stages.

Beyond Expo is a landmark event in Greece's innovation calendar, attracting thousands of visitors, entrepreneurs, startups, investors, policymakers, and technology enthusiasts from across the country and beyond. With a focus on cutting-edge technology, digital transformation, and future-facing solutions across a wide range of sectors, Beyond Expo represents a unique convergence of ideas, expertise, and ambition — and an exceptional opportunity to showcase how agricultural research is keeping pace with the broader technological revolution.

Smart Agro Hub's presence at the expo placed NextGenBioPest in the spotlight, demonstrating to a diverse, tech-savvy audience that sustainable agriculture is not only a scientific priority but also a field of genuine innovation. Visitors were introduced to the project's core objectives — developing and validating next-generation biopesticide tools, including biological control agents, RNA-based solutions, and Integrated Pest Management (IPM) strategies — and to the broader European effort to transform crop protection in line with the goals of the EU Green Deal and the Farm to Fork Strategy.

Engaging with audiences beyond the traditional agricultural and scientific community is a deliberate and important part of NextGenBioPest's outreach approach. Technology fairs like Beyond Expo offer a rare opportunity to spark conversations across sectors, connecting agricultural research with digital innovators, investors, and the general public — all of whom have a stake in the future of sustainable food systems.

Smart Agro Hub's participation at Beyond Expo 2026 is a testament to the project's ambition: to ensure that the transition to greener, safer, and more effective pest management solutions is not just a laboratory pursuit, but a message that resonates across society.
