We are thrilled to share that NextGenBioPest was proudly represented at the 14th Spider Mite Genome Meeting (https://www.unirioja.es/actividades/14th-spider-mite-genome-meeting/https://www.unirioja.es/actividades/14th-spider-mite-genome-meeting/), held from October 28–30 at the Centro Ibercaja de Logroño in La Rioja, Spain. This international gathering brought together researchers from 12 countries to share advancements in combating the destructive spider mite pest, with a focus on sustainable and ecological solutions.
Advancing Sustainable Pest Management
Under this year’s theme, “From Genome to Sustainable and Ecological Pest Control,” the meeting spotlighted cutting-edge research, including the promising results of RNAi-based acaricides in field trials. These innovative approaches align with NextGenBioPest’s mission to reduce reliance on traditional chemical pesticides, paving the way for environmentally friendly crop protection.
Organized by Miodrag Grbic, visiting professor at the University of La Rioja and the Institute of Grapevine and Wine Sciences (ICVV), the event provided a unique platform to showcase how genomic insights are transforming pest management strategies worldwide.
Driving Collaboration and Innovation
NextGenBioPest’s presence reinforced its commitment to fostering collaboration among global experts and integrating breakthrough technologies into sustainable agricultural practices. We are proud to contribute to these critical discussions and look forward to applying these innovations to protect crops and ecosystems alike.
